Lovely local Totara timber with Milk Paint accent. These should last for many generations if looked after. They should be oiled occasionally and never soaked. Just lightly rinse and dry.
Finished with Tung Oil, Milk Paint and Beeswax.

Milking Stool Rustic, Ebonized, Red Beech Milking Stool (only one left). These are very solid stools with considerable weight. Perfect for milking, hallway display or individual coffee table. Three legs ensure a very stable base on uneven surfaces.
Approximately 320mm tall with 230mm seat top.
Ebonizing produces a wonderfully rustic, deep black finish. Sealed with Tung Oil, Shellac and a final polish of Beeswax.

Made from SIlver Beech and turned on a traditional handmade pole lathe.

hei matau The fish hook shape of the hei matau has origins in Māori legend, which tells of Te Ika a Maui, a huge fish that was caught by the great mariner using only a woven line and a hook made from the jawbone of his grandmother.
For the Māori, the hei matau is taonga (a cultural treasure). It represents not only their land, but also prosperity, fertility and safe passage over water.
Handmade necklace from curly grain Silkwood (Flindersia brayleyana) and leather. Finished with shellac, carnauba wax and beeswax.

Blockheads on a Banana My take on Blockheads. I typically have a few available for sale, but can make them out of specific wood that I have available and colours to suit, if I can source the thread. I’m happy to make suggested variations on request. Full, standing height to top of hair is approximately 120mm (4.7 Inches). Sizes may vary.
The ones pictured are made from Beech and finished with Tung Oil and Beeswax.
